Project Challenge


Objective

After discovering the staggering costs associated with one-page or half-page inclusions in recognised market publications, I was genuinely taken aback. The expenses seemed unjustifiably high, prompting me to question their value. It made me wonder: wouldn't it be more cost-effective to establish our own dedicated platform, solely focused on our business objectives?

I presented my vision and emphasised the value it would bring. It was met with resounding approval! Now, it was time to turn talk into action, to drive the concept forward and deliver on the promises. Our goal was clear: to create a brand-new, premium-quality publication with an unwavering focus on all things Play'n GO. From the CEO Spotlight to game releases, events to compliance, and much more. Such a platform would provide an exclusive focus on the elements that make a progressive brand truly special.

Design Approach


Objective

I envisioned a captivating front cover featuring the iconic combination of red shoes and a black tuxedo. This choice not only aligned perfectly with the brand's palette but also added a touch of character, giving the cover its own unique style and personality. With the CEO's support, I meticulously executed this vision during a detailed photo shoot.

To further enhance the visual impact, I introduced a bold typographic approach that seamlessly complemented the photography. This strategic decision not only elevated the overall aesthetic but also established a distinct editorial style, setting higher standards and reflecting the core values of the Play'n GO brand.

I took the content a step further by simply drawing inspiration from 90's magazines, by incorporating a poster pullout, offering readers a free movie-style poster and leveraging an additional channel to promote the product. Such finesse added excitement and an immersive experience to engage the audience even further.

The Solution


Objective

The successful release of this business-oriented endeavour stands as a testament to the remarkable synergy between Marvyn Wilson's inspired marketing copy and my vision, direction and design execution.

Together, we infused GO Magazine with a distinct tone of voice and compelling content design style, our collaborative effort has not only set the tone, but also provided a definitive blueprint for future business endeavours.

GO Magazine effectively cut through the noise and clutter of the competitive iGaming landscape, captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impression.
